GRAVITY, EXPANSION, AND THE NON-LOCAL WELL — CORRECTED FRAMEWORK ================================================================================ Date: 2026-03-28 Author: Jonathan Shelton Status: THEORY — corrects prior misinterpretation of dark energy and non-local ================================================================================ I. GRAVITY IS NOT A FORCE ================================================================================ Gravity is exactly what Einstein said: the geometry of a curve. C_potential provides that naturally within its bandwidth. No gravity as a force → no need for dark energy to explain expansion. Dark energy is a requirement ONLY if gravity is a force that must be counteracted. Since it isn't, dark energy doesn't exist in this theory. The expansion doesn't need explaining by a mysterious energy — it IS the pulse radiating outward. II. THE PULSE RADIATES OUTWARD FROM A SINGLE POINT ================================================================================ Each pulse injects new energy into the system from a single point. It cascades radially through dimensions. In dimensions where the energy has already reached local equilibrium, that energy is passed UPWARD to the next dimension. This is the dimensional overflow — not a dramatic event, but the continuous consequence of the pulse never stopping. III. 1D AS THE INFINITE WELL ================================================================================ 1D is a well infinitely deep. It is pulling POTENTIAL into REALITY. It is the bridge between non-local and local. Think of it as a SUPER BLACK HOLE — but not in the gravitational sense. It is the point where non-local (all potential) becomes local (expressed reality). f|t IS this bridge. The 1D well doesn't deplete. It doesn't weaken. The non-local reservoir it draws from is infinite. The pulse keeps coming. IV. EQUILIBRIUM AT EVERY DIMENSION ================================================================================ In each dimension there is an equilibrium. We see it expressed at energy levels where the decoherence reaches 0.5: - Helium: 2D→3D equilibrium boundary - Black holes: 3D→4D equilibrium boundary - PeV cosmic ray knee: 4D→5D equilibrium boundary These are the points where energy EXCEEDS the 0.5 boundary in that dimension. Below 0.5, the dimension is at equilibrium. We see static energy because the 3D landscape is already at equilibrium. Our world looks stable because 3D reached its steady state long ago. But: - 4D space could ALSO be at equilibrium - 5D, 6D, and beyond — each could be at their own equilibrium - The dimensions continue as far as the energy progression requires V. WHY WE SEE "EXPANSION" — FRAMERATE MISMATCH ================================================================================ The apparent acceleration of expansion is NOT from dark energy. It is from FRAMERATE MISMATCH between dimensions. Each dimension has its own framerate: 1D: 0.375c 2D: 0.625c 3D: c 4D: 1.625c ... From 3D, we observe the effects of ALL dimensions — but we MEASURE at the 3D framerate (c). When higher-dimensional dynamics project into 3D, their faster framerates appear as acceleration. It's not that space is expanding faster. It's that we're seeing the framerate mismatch between 3D (our clock) and higher dimensions (faster clocks). The "acceleration" is a projection artifact of measuring multi-dimensional dynamics with a single-dimensional clock. The dimensions themselves are falling into the curve of the infinitely deep 1D well. Each dimension is downstream of the one before. The cascade continues. VI. THE SCALE WE CANNOT KNOW ================================================================================ For the 3D landscape, we see 13.8 billion years. But that is the 3D LEDGER's record. It started recording when the 2D→3D overflow created 3D space. The universe could be at dimension 100, or 1 million. We have no way of knowing from inside 3D. Each dimension's age is measured in its OWN framerate. The total "age" of the system (all dimensions) is not a meaningful question from inside any single dimension — because the framerates differ and the ledgers start at different points. What we CAN know: - The 3D ledger: ~13.8 billion years at c - The 3D→4D boundary energy: ~Planck scale - The framerate ratio: c_4D / c_3D ≈ 1.625 - The pattern repeats, always forward, never backward What we CANNOT know from 3D: - How many dimensions exist total - The "age" of the system in any absolute sense - What the 1D well looks like from outside - Whether there is an "outside" VII. IMPLICATIONS FOR THE SIMULATION (SIM-003) ================================================================================ The source amplitude stays CONSTANT — correct (infinite reservoir). There is NO conservation of total energy across dimensions — each dimension has its own energy budget drawn from the infinite 1D well. The pulse never weakens. The only constraint is the LOCAL 0.5 ceiling. Dark energy, gravity as force, finite reservoir — NONE of these are in the simulation because NONE of them are in the theory. IMPORTANT: Conservation laws are DIMENSIONALLY LOCAL, not universal. Energy IS conserved within 3D — that's real physics, not wrong. But it's the 3D ledger balancing its own books within its own equilibrium. The 1D well keeps injecting. The overflow keeps flowing. Conservation is an observation of LOCAL EQUILIBRIUM, not a fundamental constraint on the total system. The first law of thermodynamics holds perfectly — within the dimension it's measured in.
